Welcome to Women’s Forum!
Women’s Forum is a non-profit organization supporting women’s personal and professional growth through peer-learning.
Our members join wForum for focus, direction and idea exchange. Groups of 6-8 women organize according to age-stage and meet monthly in a confidential environment for relevant conversations with important others. The speaking, the listening, the ritual and the intimate relationships with women so alike and so different combine to create a culture of safety, trust and warmth. In that space, women flourish.
Women’s Forum supports women in 3 important ways:
Today more than ever there is a need among women for community, where work, family and personal experiences can be shared in an atmosphere of confidentiality, trust, and openness. Women’s Forum connects you to women outside your usual circles where you can be yourself; a place where things are quieter and there is an opportunity to listen, to oneself and others, intently.
We offer a library of resources for personal and professional development from expert practitioners in psychology, leadership, community development and women’s health and wellness. Produced as discussion guides, our resources reinforce practical skills and spiritual practices to develop a woman’s unique character and contribution.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT
We provide the training, materials and on-going support to run a successful, peer-moderated wForum. Responsibility for wForum facilitation rotates annually among group members, giving each member her turn at organizing and leading group development. Annual 2-day facilitator training and on-going consultation with wForum facilitators sustains wForum groups through all stages of development.
